SO Pride is so glad you are a part of our vibrant community! We cannot have such a successful event year after year without amazing volunteers like you.
There are a variety of ways to volunteer. Please review the different options, and choose what interests you in the form below.
Types of Volunteers
1. Set-Up Crew (8 am-10 am)
Set-Up Crew consists of 3 - 4 people ready and able to help organize and set up the bandshell and vendor areas for the fantastic performances after the parade. Once set-up is complete, you can enjoy the festivities and the parade!
2. Parade Volunteer (8 am-11 am)
Pride parade volunteers help organize parade participants, as well as be on the sidelines and/or march with the parade to help direct the flow from the top of the parade all the way through the Plaza to the Bandshell, where the party continues! It’s a very important job, and we need as many people as we can get!
3. Bandshell Volunteer (11 am - end of day, in shifts)
Bandshell volunteers work directly with our bandshell director to ensure the performances run smoothly. Enjoy the performances while assisting with any issues that may arise. This can include getting water for performers or being in the crowd to get the excitement up!
4. Donation Collector (11 am - end of day, in shifts)
Are you pumped up about Pride and love talking to and hyping people up? Then donation collection is perfect for you! You’ll go through the crowd, enjoying the performances and encouraging everyone to donate to SO Pride so we can have even more amazing events throughout the year.
5. Vendor Volunteer (11 am - end of day, in shifts)
Enjoy the parade in the morning and the vendors in the afternoon! This role will have volunteers ensuring the comfort of our vendors. Grab water for the vendors and ensure hydration while showing your pride!
6. Clean-Up Crew (end of day, ~1 hour)
After an amazing day of parades, performances, and pride, this crew helps put the Bandshell back in order. The more hands, the quicker this job goes!
